This policy explains how My Village Works handles information collected through myvillage.works. It covers the current public website, waitlist, Village Builder invitations, and related email updates. It does not describe product features that are not yet available.
Information we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect the name and email address you provide, your professional role, how you operate, whether you are interested in beta participation, your communication consent, the date and source of registration, and any Village Builder invitation connected to your registration.
When a registered Village Builder sends an invitation, we collect the recipient email address and any recipient name the Builder provides. An invitation does not add the recipient to the waitlist or marketing updates. We use that information to send the requested invitation, prevent repeated or abusive sending, and connect the registration if the recipient chooses to join.
To protect forms from abuse, the server temporarily stores one-way hashes derived from IP and email addresses. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the waitlist database.
How we use information
We use waitlist and invitation information to confirm registration, deliver requested private access links and invitations, preserve direct referral attribution, send consented launch updates, understand which professional groups are interested in My Village Works, plan beta participation, protect the service from misuse, and respond to questions.
Village Builder access
A registered person may request a private, time-limited link to their Builder desk. Access links are delivered only to the email address associated with the registration. The desk displays that person’s invitation code, direct registration count, and invitation tools. We do not display downstream referral networks or private recipient information publicly.
Service providers
The website, database, and email delivery operate through hosting and email infrastructure providers acting on our behalf. They process information only as needed to provide those services. We do not sell waitlist or invitation information or use it for third-party behavioral advertising.
Retention
Waitlist and direct-attribution records remain available while the launch and Village Builder programs are active or until deletion is required or appropriate. Unaccepted invitation records may be retained long enough to prevent abuse and repeated sending. Administrative and security records may be retained when reasonably necessary to protect the website, meet legal obligations, or resolve a dispute.
Your choices
You may unsubscribe through the link included in waitlist emails or contact hello@myvillage.works. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with your email address. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.
Cookies and tracking
The current website does not use advertising trackers or nonessential cookies. The private admin area and Village Builder desk use secure session cookies solely to maintain authorized access. If our use of cookies or analytics changes, we will update this policy and provide any required choices.
Security
We use access controls, restricted database credentials, encrypted connections, single-use access links, rate limits, and other safeguards appropriate to the current services. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
The website and waitlist are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website and services change. The effective date above shows when the latest version took effect. Material changes will be communicated when appropriate.
