This policy explains how My Village Works handles information collected through myvillage.works. It covers the current public website, waitlist, and related email updates. It does not describe product features that are not yet available.
Information we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect the name and email address you provide, your professional role, how you operate, whether you are interested in beta participation, your communication consent, and the date and source of registration.
To protect the form from abuse, the server temporarily stores a one-way hash derived from the submitting IP address. The raw IP address is not stored in the waitlist database. Abuse-prevention records are deleted after seven days.
How we use information
We use waitlist information to confirm registration, send requested launch updates, understand which professional groups are interested in My Village Works, plan beta participation, protect the form from misuse, and respond to questions.
Service providers
The website, database, and email delivery operate through hosting and email infrastructure providers acting on our behalf. They process information only as needed to provide those services. We do not sell waitlist information or use it for third-party behavioral advertising.
Retention
Waitlist records remain available while the launch program is active or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information. Administrative and security records may be retained when reasonably necessary to protect the website, meet legal obligations, or resolve a dispute.
Your choices
You may unsubscribe through the link included in waitlist emails or contact hello@myvillage.works. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information associated with your email address. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.
Cookies and tracking
The current website does not use advertising trackers or nonessential cookies. The private admin area uses a secure session cookie solely to keep an authorized administrator signed in. If our use of cookies or analytics changes, we will update this policy and provide any required choices.
Security
We use access controls, restricted database credentials, encrypted connections, rate limits, and other safeguards appropriate to the current waitlist. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
The website and waitlist are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website and services change. The effective date above will show when the latest version took effect. Material changes will be communicated when appropriate.
